Tourists business
In Lviv, November 24-25, was a tourist Conference "Win with Lviv!". The conference was devoted to modern trends in tourism and their impact on the marketing of cities - as they are positioned correctly, advertise, and, most importantly, how to attract tourists to visit. All conference events were held in the manner of European counterparts - with Networking, brain-stormingov and frequently changing roles, "the speaker party."
The slogan of the conference was "Unite. Improve. Imagine. Win", in fact need to join the tourism business with the power to distribute the available products, constantly improve their travel and conquer new markets.
It is a union of various tourist businesses, even the "young", tourist city can compete with well-known tourist destinations.
City map should not create a separate company and their union: restaurants, hotels, cultural institutions, they must all work together. And not only hard to make big profits, but also to satisfy the tourists and make them more loyal.
It is also the world's predominant tendency to seek specialized, niche products. For example, in Istanbul, has become popular project «Delicious Istanbul», during which participants learn to cook local dishes to choose their local markets.
Culinary tourism - this is a very interesting direction for the marketing of cities, it's a niche, in which there are so many competitors, which is very profitable, because the tourists who travel for the sake of this trend are the wealthy.
On the example of Lviv participants to understand the role played by marketing events for the city. And not just on a global scale, such as Euro 2012, but also well positioned, music, ethnic and gourmet festivals.
Modern cities need to learn to feel their potential customers - to conduct surveys to understand what is expected to see in the city. For example, the Austrian Graz in 2003 became the European capital of culture, but the influx of tourists was only when, in 2008 launched the project "Graz - gastronomic capital of Austria."
The Conference also held session in which Gabriela Shvaynberger from Berlin and Lviv Tourist Information Centre Presented as a work such tourist structures in Ukraine and in the world. In particular, the major emphasis was placed on the fact that tourist flows change, change, and tourists need to change approaches to work with them.
A total of two days of the Conference was attended by about 100 people from 7 countries. Lviv travel conference is organized by NGO "Etnovir" in partnership with the Lviv City Council and the International Association of European Cities Marketing.
